📜 Server rules

To keep this a good place for everyone, these rules apply:

🤝 Respect
Be kind to everyone. No insults, bullying or hate based on origin, religion, gender, sexuality or disability.

🚫 No spam
No spam, chain messages or flooding with emojis, stickers or GIFs. One message is enough.

📢 No advertising
No ads for other servers, channels or products without staff permission – that includes DMs to members.

🔞 No NSFW
No sexual, gory or disturbing content – not in avatars, names or behind spoilers either.

🔒 Privacy & no doxxing
Don't share private information about yourself or others (address, phone number, photos, real names). Doxxing means an instant ban.

📂 Use the right channels
Post in the matching channel and read the channel topic. Bot commands go in the bot channel.

🛡️ Staff decide
Follow staff instructions. Things not listed here can still be against the rules – when in doubt, the mods decide.

⚖️ Consequences
Depending on severity, breaking the rules leads to warning → timeout → kick → ban. Serious violations can mean an instant ban.

📜 Discord rules
Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines apply as well.
By taking part you agree to these rules.

How it works

  1. Tick the rules you need and order them with the arrows.
  2. Edit titles and texts or add your own rules.
  3. Pick a style: numbered, headings or emoji bullets.
  4. Copy the text into your rules channel – or choose “Embed” and open it in the embed builder.

You can switch the rules between English and German at any time – your order, selection and custom rules stay. Nothing is stored or uploaded.

FAQ

What rules should every Discord server have?

Proven basics: be respectful, no spam, no ads without permission, no NSFW, protect private information, use the right channels and a clear consequences system – plus a pointer to Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

My rules are too long for one message – what now?

A message holds 2,000 characters (4,000 with Nitro). The tool splits longer rules into several messages at paragraph breaks. An embed fits much more: up to 25 fields of 1,024 characters each.

How do I post the rules as an embed?

Choose “Embed” and click “Open in embed builder”. There you can style it further and send it to your rules channel via webhook. Pings are suppressed.

Do community servers need a rules channel?

Yes, community servers need a rules or guidelines channel. For membership screening (members accept the rules before chatting) you also enter the rules in Server Settings.

Is the template legally reviewed?

No, it's a template and not legal advice. Adapt it to your server. Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines always apply on top.
